If getting hitched was part of Kaley Cuoco’s New Year’s resolutions, then the actress is off to a running start. Cuoco, 27, married tennis pro Ryan Sweeting, 26, in a New Year’s Eve ceremony in Southern California.
Kaley did the wedding march in a pink gown designed by Vera Wang. The bride then Instagramed a wedding snapshot, accompanied by the caption:
“Yep :) #thesweetings @ryansweething”
The newlyweds announced their engagement in September, following just three months of dating. Cuoco defended the whirlwind romance at the time, imploring the age-old adage “When you know, you know.”
“I know that it seems a little crazy on paper. But it’s what works for us. From day one, I just knew immediately and it’s been magic. We have all the same family friends. We grew up with the same people, we just never met. So I kind of feel that I’ve known him my whole life.”
Back in November, Cuoco — an animal lover — appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and joked about wanting a dog-themed wedding cake and walking down the aisle on a horse.
“I’m obsessed with my dogs and I wanted to do the cake in the shape of their heads. I might ride in on one of my horses. I secretly kinda want to do that. I’m a big animal freak. I’d rather the animals be there than real people.”
