Lynn Harless, mom of Justin Timberlake, has become a frequent visitor to Britney Spears’ gated estate in her efforts to help her son’s first love battle her public demons.

“I love Britney to death. She is a sweet girl. I just hate what she is going through,” Lynne recently said.

“Britney stayed close to Lynn through the breakup with Justin and far beyond that. And Lynn feels protective of Brit, she’s like her own daughter. She wants what’s best for her.”

The stage mom reached out to Britney after J.T asked for her assistance in aiding his former flame:

“Justin is freaking out…he would be devastated if she died of a drug overdose…. So, he’s sending in the one person he trusts most.”

“Justin accepts she is a wild woman and thought she might freak if he stepped in. That is why Lynn is there.”

“Someone from Jive Records told Lynn that Britney was in a very bad mental state. Lynn told Justin how bad it was, and he asked her if she could help. So Lynn began to call and e-mail Britney.”

“But trying to help Britney is like trying to defuse a time-bomb.”
