Justin Tennison — “Deadliest Catch” Crew Member — Found Dead
Another crew member from Deadliest Catch has died.
Justin Tennison, a cast member on the reality crabbing series, was found dead and surrounded by drugs and alcohol in a hotel in Homer, Alaska on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old is best remembered as a deckhand for the Time Bandit. He’d lived in Alaska for 28 years and worked on the boat as alongside his second cousin Eddie Uwekoolani, Jr.
Investigators say a small amount of marijuana and several bottles of alcohol were found near Tennison’s body at the Best Western Bidarka Inn. It’s unclear, however, if drugs contributed to his death.
Time Bandit captain Andy Hillstrand remembered Tennison on Facebook this week.
“Justin was tough as a bull and was an all-around good hand. The Captains and Crew appreciated his hard work and many contributions this past year. We will miss him terribly and wish his family all the best during this most difficult time. Justin is survived by a son, daughter, sister, father and grandparents.”
