Justin Bieber “Getting Better” After Collapsing on Stage in London

Justin Bieber’s already rocky weeklong residency at London’s O2 Arena has hit another snag. The Biebs was admitted to local hospital Thursday after he collapsed onstage mid-song.

The Canadian charttopper had been performing his hit track “Beauty and a Beat” when he suddenly retreated backstage. Biebs’ manager Scooter Braun eventually hit the stage to reveal that Justin would be back to finish the concert, against doctor’s orders.

“Justin got very light of breath, the whole show he’s been complaining. He’s backstage with the EMTs (emergency medical team) and the doctor. They’re telling him they want him to go and see somebody and find out what’s going on with his lungs, he’s just told me that in five minutes, if it’s OK with you guys, he’s going to come out and finish the show.”

He continued:

“He might not be jumping around as much and everything else — and you guys need to be patient with us. We’re not trying to be disrespectful, we’re not trying to get you guys home late, we’re truly trying to put on a show for the people who love him.”

After taking a 20-minute break, Biebs returned to the stage to belt out his final tracks. He was later taken to The Clinic, a private hospital where he posted a picture of himself relaxing in bed on Instagram.

“Getting better. thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world. figuring out what happened. thanks for the love.”

Earlier this week, Bieber founds himself in the crosshairs of angry fans and their parents, livid that the star showed up two hours late for a concert that fell on a school night. Bieber insists he was only 40 minutes late, but his tardiness reportedly forced hundreds of young people to make the long trek home without ever seeing their idol take the stage.
