Just Married: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Wedding in France

Well, this ought to provide the incentive Jennifer Aniston needs to start shoving Justin Theroux down the aisle.

The wedding everyone has been waiting for went down rather quietly at a French chateau last weekend. After a nine year courtship and a whole bushel of babies, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were married Saturday, August 23 at Chateau Miraval, France.

The longtime couple, affectionately nicknamed Brangelina, tied the knot in a small chapel in a private ceremony attended by a small number of family and friends. Pitt and Jolie obtained a marriage license from a local California judge, who also conducted the ceremony in France, a spokesperson for the couple told The Associated Press Thursday.

Naturally, the Jolie-Pitt brood was in attendance as Mom and Dad became Husband and Wife. Jolie walked down the aisle with the couple’s sons, 13-year-old Maddox and Pax, 10. Daughters Zahara, 12, and Vivienne, 6, stood in as flower girls. Vivienne’s twin brother Knox and daughter Shiloh, age 8, were appointed ring bearers.

Celeb gawkers have been on full-Brangelina wedding watch ever since Angelina underwent a double mastectomy in 2012. The Oscar winner praised her now-husband for his support throughout the ordeal.
