Judith Hill Michael Jackson Memorial Singer Revealed (“We Are The World” & “Heal The World”)
Most of us who spent our Tuesday afternoon glued to the live memorial for late pop icon Michael Jackson were left in awe and scratching our heads over the identity of the funky Bohemian chick who belted out MJ’s Grammy-winning 1986 charity single “We Are The World” — as well as “Heal The World” — in smoky overtones.
Rolling Stone Magazine has blown the lid off the mystery and revealed the future powerhouse as Judith Hill, a half-Japanese, half-African-American singer from Pasadena, California. Judith, who describes herself as always marching to the beat of her own drum in a message on her personal website — had been selected to contribute backup vocals during Michael Jackson’s This Is It residence tour at London’s O2 Arena.
