Kate Gosselin and her bodyguard Steve Nelid were photographed taking the youngest castmembers of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 shopping at a Reading, Pennsylvania crafts store over the weekend. The family is believed to have been picking up items for a party celebrating the Gosselin sextuplets’ birthday, which was earlier this month.

Noticably absent from the photos are family patriarch Jon Gosselin, who has been missing in action since he was accused of cheating on his wife with a 23-year-old Pennsylvania teacher in April.
