Jon & Kate Gosselin Marriage Counseling
Rumors of mutual infidelity and the strain of marital strife have landed troubled couple Jon & Kate Gosselin in marriage counseling, and fans of could see the dramatic therapy sessions unfold on the family’s TLC reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8, according to recent reports.
“The big question is whether they’ll allow cameras into their therapy sessions. TLC would want to film at least portions of the sessions, but obviously Jon and Kate would have to agree.”
Jon & Kate follows the rural Pennsylvania family as they juggle day-to-day life in a clan which includes eight children — 8-year-old twin girls and 5-year-old sextuplets.
The Gosselins found themselves entreached in scandal last month, after reports surfaced romantically linking Jon to a 23-year-old schoolteacher named Deanna Hummel. Jon isn’t the only one being accused of double-dipping — Kate has allegedly grown too close for comfort to her bodyguard, Steve Nelid.
Both Jon and Kate deny having affairs, but they’ve made the decision to try to salvage their marriage.
“It’s make-or-break time for Jon and Katie, and counseling may be the only hope they have to repair their shattered marriage,” an spy close to the couple said in the June 1 issue of The National Enquirer.
“Jon was all for counseling, but Kate thought their marriage might be too far gone,” the insider added. “Recently, she’s softened her stance, and said she would do it for the sake of the children, if nothing else.”
While Kate may be humoring the therapy sessions under the guise of concern for her children, friends of the couple believe the attention-lovin’ Kate is simply vying to earn more seasons of Jon & Kate.
“Kate wants a future in showbiz, and airing their counseling sessions will shoot the show’s ratings through the roof.”
