Divorce papers filed by Kate Gosselin this week make some surprising claims about the mother of eight’s relationship with her soon-to-be former husband.

Kate filed for divorce Monday in Montgomery County Court in Pennsylvania, saying in papers that her 10-year marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

In the papers obtained by The Associated Press Tuesday, the star TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 claims that she and her husband Jon have lived “separate and apart” for at least two years. That’s odd, considering fans of the Gosselin reality show will remember an episode that aired just last November, in which the seemingly happy couple renewed their wedding vows in Hawaii.

Kate adds that they have been unable to agree on dividing their assets.
