Jon Gosselin, the star of the now-defunct reality hit Jon and Kate Plus 8, did not show up to a hearing in his on-going legal fight with the show’s former parent network, TLC.

Gosselin’s attorney, Mark Heller, had previously said the celebrity dad would attend Thursday’s hearing in Maryland, but the hearing has started without him. In October, the Discovery Channel-owned network slammed Jon with a multimillion dollar lawsuit, claiming the Octodad made media appearances that violated his exclusive contract.
