So much for “getting back together as parents.”

Jon Gosselin has something to say in regards to his estranged wife’s explosive accusation that he cleaned out the former couple’s joint checking account to the tune of $230,000, leaving the mother of his eight children nearly penniless and unable to “pay her bills.” The former star of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 told The Insider today that while he took some money of the account, Kate’s claims are “a total fabrication” and that he “withdrew $22,000 last Thursday” and has “the paper trail to prove it.”

In fact, Jon demands that Kate cough up the secret millions he’s certain she’s got stashed in some off-shore account in Switzerland.

We’re hoping Child Protective Services steps in and does the right thing for the youngest Gosselins trapped in the middle of this madness. Boy did those cuties get stuck with a pair of childish brats for parents. Honestly, I’ve met more mature pit-bulls. I, for one, recommend handing the kids over to be raised by a pack of wolves…They’d undoubtedly be better off.

“I’ve never taken any money out because over 10 years, Kate handled all the banking. Over the past four years of doing the show, we accrued $2,250,000,” Jon told the newsmagazine Monday. “She says in the past week I took $230,000. I have withdrawn roughly $177,000 over the course of a year, which is less than 10 percent of what we made. That’s like my paycheck.” He adds, “She’s hiding money. We have 11 bank accounts. That was just our joint account. She has a best-selling book. Where’s that million dollars?”
