After a three year absence, Fanta is reviving its fictional line of singing spokesmodels, The Fantanas. The girls will be back performing their catchy single “Wanta Fanta” in a series of new promo ads for the fruity soft drink brand debuting this summer. There’s only one thing missing — you! The three Fantanas (Summer, Melody, and Isabela) are looking for a fourth to join their group and they’re holding a contest to find their newest member.

Through June 30, Fanta lovers who think they have what it takes mahy submit a one minute video and short essay showcasing their singing/dancing ability, and explaining why they want to be a Fantana via Fanta.com.

From July to September fan ratings and a selected panel of judges will help identify who will be the fourth Fantana. The grand prize winner will receive $5,000 and the opportunity to sign an agreement to become the fourth Fantana, which includes appearing in Fanta’s advertising and marketing campaign.

We knew it was time to re-introduce them with a new attitude and authentic talents,” Santiago Blanco, Vice President of Flavors Coca-Cola North America, the manufacturers of Fanta, said in a statement Thursday. “Bringing back The Fantanas in a digital and interactive context will not only represent the Fanta® brand in a fresh new way but also strengthen The Fantanas as icons of pop culture.”
