To outsiders, their relationship is one of the most rock-solid in Hollywood. But scratch the surface and it’s a very different story…
That’s what the tabloids are saying at least.
They’ve always bragged about not needing a “piece of paper” to prove their undying love and commitment to one another. But it appears the values by which Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have stood for the past 14 years are crumbling around them, as their relationship teeters on the verge of collapse.
The blogosphere is ablaze with whispers that the notoriously private couple are all but leading separate lives – and have been doing so for the past two years.
Constant bickering over everything from their living arrangements to Johnny’s “midlife crisis,” as Vanessa calls it, has driven a wedge between them that’s so great they’ve been sleeping apart for months. Sources close to the de facto pair say it’s like a “trial separation that has turned permanent.”
Last week, the dish was that a “miserable” Depp had fallen for his Dark Shadows co-star, Eva Green, 31.
A Vanessa doppelganger, by the way. People magazine is devoting its cover story this week to “Love Gone Wrong.” According to the glossy, Depp, 48, and Paradis, 39 — who are parents to Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9 — have not appeared side-by-side on a red carpet for more than a year. Multiple sources tell People the relationship is all but officially finished.
One snoop sums it up like this:
“It’s so sad.”
