This is nothing unusual for the dem/lib/socialist/communists to identify whatever looks to be “crazy” to identify Conservative Christian voters. It was first done by the Nazi’s with the Jews. Jews were identified as less than animals, but showing pictures of odd looking people and animals. Isn’t it funny that the dem/lib/socialist/communists use the same tactics to depict those of us who believe in a higher power as our creator, rather than their believe that we came from some sludge at the bottom of the ocean that somehow crawled up on land, only to become monkeys from which evolved man. When you hear it like that, it doesn’t sound quite so sane, does it?

You have a great many “nut” cases in your liberal/dem/socialist/communist party and I would venture if we looked we could find a great many more pictures that supported that particular finding.

Each of these people have their own culture and their own understanding of what the debate is about. Not all of them are as well educated as some, but they are entitled to their opinions…as are you…we live in America. We may not like their thoughts, but as long as they are their thoughts and they are not attempting to undermine our country with their beliefs, I feel fairly safe. On the other hand, your party, with its socialist/communist immoralities is being shoved down my throat through your party’s targetting of our children with the laws you’ve created to assist them in getting abortions without the permission of parents, your insistence in giving children condoms, whether they were physically or emotionally ready, and in our colleges, where our children are not allowed to express their opinions, but the dem/lib/socialist/communist ideology is taught as fact to them. You’ve infiltrated my government with your socialist/communist ideologies, and you’ve been undermining our government with your bribery of people who couldn’t afford homes by giving them loans that they couldn’t afford to pay back, while fighting for the right to murder the unborn babies of single and low income mothers by convincing them that they would somehow be better off murdering their offspring than raising them.

But most of all, you’ve depicted all bible believing christian people as less than human. You have created cartoons and interjected jokes in movies and on television, stating that our belief in a higher power is more a belief in fairy tales.

Well…we all know that your idealogies are anti-American. But this is what I would like to say:

You should be very, very grateful that a voting block of 60 million people who won the last two elections, has a strong belief in God, and are the workers in this country…honestly DON’T believe the way you have depicted us here. If we did, imagine how bad your world would really be.

Sprytling. The images above illustrate bigotry, not religious choice. Jesus, above all, wasn’t a bigot. Christians – those who understand Jesus’ work and message – should all be able to agree on some fundamental principals – such as ‘love thy neighbor’ and etc. As far as pro-life – yep, i get it. it’s ok by this liberal for you to have that position – but live what you preach. Here’s a thought – don’t support aggressive acts of war. Have the right wingers considered that over 500,000 human beings have died in Iraq with the support of “christians?” It just doesn’t make sense – pro war, pro hunting FOR ENTERTAINMENT (really sick), xenophobia, bigotry, anti-science, on and on. It’s as if the “christian right” hasn’t actually read what Jesus had to say and how he lived. The issue is not in believing in a higher power – that’s cool – but its a private, personal, issue. I agree that we should live and let live – but none of us should be forced to accept racial hatred, bias against gays and lesbians – and yes, bias against the religious. Your comparison of liberal thought to Nazi thought is patently ridiculous – liberals want all human beings to be treated as humans – ultimately all humans should have housing, food, water, health care, education regardless of faith, sexual orientation, color, creed, politics. There are plenty of christian liberals – and in my experience their actions more closely represent the grace and kindness of Jesus. Conservative christians, in my experience, use religion as a crutch to support very hurtful and inhuman political ideals. Economics – religious right love “trickle down” – allow those with the most, less tax responsibility and it will come down to those with the least. Well – no, those with the most – take big corporations – don’t take care of the least — they are not christian in deed, but pretend to be in word. Wal Mart tries to put out a pro-christian message, and yet the principals take home millions and millions of dollars, when raising employee pay rates and providing health insurance would still allow them to live lavish lives. Not Christian. It’s hateful. Education – It’s good to learn about god’s world with the minds god gave to us UNLESS that learning raises challenging questions about biblical texts — then all bets are off. There is absolutely no contextual understanding of the bible – the time the texts were written, by whom, who decided what texts comprise the testaments, and yet it is the absolute and sacred word of god? It is this anti-questioning, anti-curious attitude — or anti-intellectual attitude if you will that deprives the christian right from better understanding the complexities of the world we live in. And, unfortunately, make the world appear black and white – the United States is right, Russia is wrong, and so forth. Again, I don’t believe Jesus meant for his followers to not think for themselves. He spoke to his disciples in parable – they interpreted – and then others interpreted, and so forth. The Christian has the ultimate responsibility to THINK. Health Care – Jesus was a healer. No human beings deserve to suffer. Every true christian would want nothing more than to see to it all human beings are looked after – even if it means higher taxes. I think Jesus would approve. As for providing young people sex education and methods to protect themselves from disease – it’s our collective duty to help all children make good choices. Requiring parents to be involved I think we could all agree upon, if parents could be depended on in all situations. I know it seems crazy, but there are a lot of children who have parents who are uninvolved, don’t care, have drug issues, and in some cases are so highly uneducated they don’t understand their responsibilities to discuss sex with their children, and to prepare them for adulthood. The Christian response, I would think, would be to say – ‘oh god bless them, let’s make sure there’s a mechanism in place – whether school, or community center, or church, where these children can be taught about reproductive health and can have access to tools to prevent unwanted pregnancy and disease.” But again – ‘black and white’ thought rears it’s ugly head. “Sex is bad unless it’s for procreation in marriage.” There is nothing in the old or new testament that discusses birth control – yes, i know you’ll quote the ’spilling seed on the ground’ to say that mastrubation is bad – but again, that’s relying on interpretation. It’s not “black and white.” Even really good parents can’t always help their children make good choices. I’m sure Sarah Palin does her best and loves her kids, but even she has a daughter pregnant and dropped out of high-school and now a drop-out son-in-law, and god forbid she got AIDS or another disease from having unprotected sex. Maybe Jesus doesn’t think it’s cool to have pre-marital sex (we’ll never know because, again, we’re only guessing about what the man actually said), but my sense is he’d want all children to be safe, not to have disease, and certainly to have access to life saving medicine.

See – here’s the problem – there is no single “bible believing” group. There are lots of “bible believing” people in the world. And there are lots of “Koran believing” people in the world – and buddhists and shintoists, and all kinds of religious folks. And some use their interpreted word of god – their god – and the interpreted word of their prophet for love and goodwill for all human beings. And unfortunately some have completely closed minds, limited intellectual capacity, a lack of skills in logic, and these folks see the world as a collection of ideals that are RIGHT and WRONG. Unfortunately from the pictures above – these folks are misinformed, hateful, and probably dangerous because of their hate for human beings. It’s not defensible.

As a liberal to a religious conservative – here’s all I ask of you – expose yourself to other cultures, other ideas, read the bible as being an interpretive document, think about policies that show love and concern for others, choose leaders who are truly compassionate, who think of war (killing) as only justifiable in defense of self, who believe health care is a human right, who love children and understand that as their learning they’re bound to make mistakes and we want to protect them and love them even when they do, who believes that the working man and woman should share in the success of the companies they labor for, who believes that American is a great country, but can always do better and move forward, and in return, I will continue to respect your right to believe what you want.

And you have the audacity to claim that the “dem/lib/socialist/” are against America! — you cons couldn’t have done a WORSE job if you tried. Trying to shove your personal religious values down OUR throats for years and you try to accuse the left of mind control and suppression and, for crying out loud, Naziism?? Read up on the Nazis, don’t just get all your information from Rush Limbaugh — read how the Nazis took unprecedented powers by drumming up a self-made emergency (sound familiar?), how the Nazis were flagrantly pro-business, how they demonized anyone to the LEFT of them, how they were as far to the RIGHT as anyone (even the current US Republican party, though maybe not by much). Your diatribe above is closed-brained and unChrstian, demonizing others while imagining that while doting that you are somehow taking the moral higher path.

No, we don’t think all Republicans are ignorant hateful racists, but clearly quite a few are. Are you going to find pictures of Obama voters acting racist? That’s what the pictures above are about. Read the news (real news, not Rush or Fox) and look at what people at the Palin speeches are yelling and listen carefully to what she is saying. Sure they have the right to think and say what they want (with the usual limits for everyone), but we have the right to point out that they are no more than bigots. Grow up.

No matter what religion you are, or what party you belong to, certain things are just completely uncalled for. It is crazy for ANYONE to make signs that say:
    1) “Vote Right, Vote White” strongly suggesting that one race is superior to the other. Having no sense of decency when it comes to aknowledging mankind as a whole.
    2) “N***er please, It’s a White House” using a racial slur to somehow suggest Barack Obama is not capapble of being president because he is black.
3)”Barack Hussein Obama…” we all know what is going on here, with the picture of Obama with a headdress. Clearly trying to pin him as a Muslim (as if it were a negative thing, even) and making the allusion to Saddam Hussein. We all know that sign is feeding into fears of uninformed Americans.
4)”Ohio Christians Against Baby Murdering Muslims for President” this needs no explination because it is blatantly racist and very suggestive as to the false intentions of Barack Obama.

It is amazing that you are comparing the portrayal of Christians to that of the Jewish community during the Nazi takeover. What have Americans done to the image of the Islamic community since the attacks on 9/11? Think about it.

America is about freedom and choice. If someone raises their children correctly, the introduction of sexual education and possible distribution of condoms should not be an issue. At least they are being provided with the correct tools to make smart decisions at the point they feel necessary. It is a fact that condoms prevent pregnancy, it is a fact that birth control prevents pregnancy, and it is a fact that SAFE sex reduces the amount of STDs spread amongst those who are sexually active. Would you rather kids have no idea about their options?

People are supposed to be given choices in America. Kids are given the facts about sex, and it is up to the parents to foster that further at home (whether it be through more education or teachings of moral values).

I am not a Christian. I was raised Christian, but in recent times, I have become extremely disappointed with the religion. It is not right for any group of people to impose their views upon an entire differing community. When it comes to abortion, there should be a seperation of church and state… THAT is what America was founded on. Your ideals are not my ideals, just as mine are probably not yours. But that doesn’t mean that people should not at least get the choice. Some people have differing views on when life actually begins, so accusing someone of murder through abortion is a clear example of just how ridiculous this country has become.

I am just as American as you, and I am SICK of being told I am not just because I do not agree with the government or the religious direction this country has been taking. YOU should not be shoving your ideology down MY throat. Americans are people who came here from freedom of religion, for a successful life away from the clutches of tyrants, and for the seperation of church and state.

And despite what you may think, there is an extremely large number of us who are very UNgrateful for the way the elections have gone the past two times. I would never thank anyone who voted for Bush, because those who didn’t knew not to trust him again. Those who didn’t are equally as hard working as you like to paint yourself, probably even more so because we have had to put up with him for the past 8 years. You apparently had the ease of embracing him.

You’re a pot calling the kettle black. (And NO, that is not a racist expression)

I always believed the Bible was about a ‘change of philosophy’ between the Old and New testaments. That the Old was about the law, revenge and consequences of your actions, whereas the New is about love, forgiveness, grace and taking a new path out of misdeeds.

Conservative Christians as I have seen have very little real understanding or knowledge. They want things, “the way they were.” Meaning: turn back the clock to the time where they still had large power over, or were a better class, than anyone ‘not White.’ Such is the nature of folks that threw their fate in with Reagan, Bush, Buchanan, Friedman, Kudlow and the doctrine of the conservative. Blaming “Other Americans with little” for their ills, while praising people of wealth, “faith” and “compassionate conservatives”.

In the end though, the less educated and less inquisitive you are, the more likely you are to be roped into blaming someone like you in many respects for your lot in life.

    Christianity it is not.

Why don’t you read your bible?
It is this type of ignorance, mainly speaking, that you don’t research anything, you just go by what your Pastor/Preacher/Minister or Fox News says.

The bible also mentioned keeping out of politics, also going into your innermost closet for prayer, rather than displaying it for all to see, because that is for your own self worth.

Okay, so reading the responses to my comments only bears out what I said.

I have to first interpret the terminology that dem/libs use. People of wealth mean anyone who actually works a job and actually pays their bills. I own a home. It doesn’t matter how large or how small my home is, but the mere fact that I own a home makes me wealthy and a target of the dem/lib/socialist/communists. The goal is not to give everyone free medical, free homes, or anything free. The GOAL is to take everything FROM those targetted by the left. Everyone should be poor…except for them, of course.

We’re having a very stark demonstration of exactly what the dem/lib/socialist/communists want to do to this nation and business in our newest administration and the dem/lib Congress. In 70 days our government now owns the businesses, the tax payers are totally ignored as their taxes are being raised and raised and raised, and the President explains patiently how all of us are going to be paying more and more and more…as if we could afford it.

Christianity calls for each of us to help each other. Nothing in christianity says that we bankrupt governments or businesses in an effort to give people something for nothing. Even God explains that we have free will…something the dem/lib/socialist/communists demand be taken from us. By Christianity, I usually mean anyone who worships God…and that can be a Muslim or a Jew, because by denigrating the beliefs of the few, you are also denigrating the beliefs of the whole. I’m hoping that the whole begins to realize that sooner than later.

What do you think?
