John Mayer joked about bedding a transsexual in a posting on his Twitter page early Monday morning.

He wrote: “I’m going to pick up a wayward tranny on the way home. Not a tranny who knows where she’s going. I’m talking a chick with a d**k who’s lost [sic].”

Nearly an hour later, the 31-year-old star seemed to think better of his outburst, and wrote: “I can’t believe that last tweet made it past my internal Standards and Practices Department.”
