Joel Madden greeted new mom Nicole Richie with a white George Steck grand piano once she returned home from delivering their first child, daughter Harlow Winter.

“It’s Joel’s way of encouraging her to keep on playing even though she’ll be a busy mom,” an insider reveals to Star Magazine.

“Now they have his and hers piano. Joel would like to hear her play.”
