Joe Francis Caught With Pills In Jail Cell, Tries To Bribe Guard

“Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis has allegedly been found with pills in his Florida jail cell — he allegedly tried to bribe a guard for a bottle of water with a $100 bill on Wednesday night. Business over at GGW must be awfully slow if all he had to offer was a C-note.
Scott Barber, the President of Mantra Films, the company that produces “Girls Gone Wild,” has been arrested by the Bay County Sheriff on suspicion of giving the pills and the cash to Francis, and that he’s being detained in the same jail as Joe. Barber visited Francis shortly before midnight Wednesday night at the jail.

The Bay County Sheriffs Office says that after executing a search, officials found at least there different kinds of pills — anti-anxiety meds aprazolam and lorazepam, as well as sleeping med Lunesta.
Joe could face charges of introduction of contraband into a correctional facility, which is a felony, and possession of a controlled substance, as first reported by The County Press of Bay County, Fla.
Francis was reported by the guard after the alleged attempted bribery, according to sources in the Bay County Sheriffs Office, he attempted to procure the liquid refreshment with the Benjamin, which led to a routine search of his person. Upon searching him, officials found a number of unspecified pills as well as $700 in cash.
