Jessica Simpson Threatens Legal Action Against Star Magazine
Jessica Simpson has waged war against a popular tabloid she claims has published a string of untrue stories about her love life.
The Dukes of Hazzard star is reportedly livid that Star Magazine recently reported that Jessica is planning a tell-all book about her life, including her marriage to singer Nick Lachey and the intimate details of her numerous flings in the years since.
Jessica’s reps have insisted the story is not true and fired off a letter demanding editors issue a retraction and an apology. The actress/singer’s legal team call a number of recent tabloid stories about the star “unseemly and scandalous” and have ordered the magazine to “cease and desist from publishing any further false and misleading allegations concerning Miss Simpson.”
Jessica made a similar move in 2008, after OK! Magazine published a false article about her relationship with now former boyfriend Tony Romo.
