Jessica Simpson Thanks Fans For Support During Weight Gain Scandal
On Thursday, Jessica Simpson made her first appearance since the media eruption of “FatGate 2009′ in Florida last Sunday. The singer used the opportunity to thank her fans for their support during a week of controversy over the singer’s recent weight gain.
Jessica wore skin-tight leather pants, a V-neck shirt, and a black jacket for her opening performance for Rascal Flatts.
“Thank you for your support,” Jessica told the crowd in Charlottesville, Virginia, PEOPLE reports. “Stay positive, and pray out loud! I love you guys, good night.”
“Please remember, no matter what you go through in life, somebody else might have it harder. So just appreciate.” Adding, “I feel like in our world today we focus on so many things that are completely pointless.”
