Celebrity hairdresser Ken Paves went postal after a country music fan quizzed Jessica Simpson about romantic rival Carrie Underwood just hours after the “Come On Over” star took the stage for a performance at the Grand Ole Opry on September 6.

“Jessica was stressed out and acting very crabby,” a National Enquirer eyewitness reports. The singer’s spirits were temporarily lifted when a fan came backstage to congratulate her on her first appearance at the Opry -but then the person made the mistake of asking her what she thought about her No. 1 rival-Carrie Underwood, according to the tab.

“Jessica and her mother just glared at the guy. Then Jess stormed off in a huff. That’s when the hairdresser let him have it.”

Apparently, Ken gets a little disturbed when you upset his meal ticket.

“Watch you fucking mouth, you rude (BLEEP)!” Ken snarled, grabbing the frightened fan by the shoulder. “How dare you bring that name up!?”

On-site spies are convinced the confrontation would have exploded into violence if Jessica’s mom, Tina Simpson, hadn’t managed to diffuse the situation by stepping between the two men.
