Jessica Simpson gives to the poor
I guess no one wants to let Angelina Jolie steal ALL the thunder when it comes to humanitarian causes, so Jessica Simpson went and personally delivered a new minivan to an orphanage in Mexico on Sunday. The children and staff all cheered as Jess drove in and handed the keys to the woman running the orphanage.
Jessica said she is very honored and happy to be able to help in some way.
In return, the children gave her an engraved plaque with their photos, and a handmade beaded necklace. They also sold hand crafted jewellery in order to save up enough money to hire a mariachi band to serenade her.
The minivan was a trade-in for a sports car that Jessica had won at the MTV Video Awards last year, which she specifically did in order to be able to donate it.
Jessica is also auctioning off her red Pizza Hut dress on eBay and all proceeds will profit the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage as well.
