Jessica Simpson has announced plans to launch a new line of dresses just in time for next summer.

“I’m extremely excited to be expanding into the dress market,” Jess said in a statement to Women’s Wear Daily Thursday. “I plan on creating beautiful dresses in distinctive fabrics and silhouettes that are reflective of my personal style and offer something special to the marketplace.”

The blonde singing star, who will release her debut country LP in September, already fronts her own brand of perfume, swimwear, handbags, and other accessories.
