Jessica Simpson has broken her nose while filming a number of action scenes on the set of her upcoming flick ‘Major Movie Star.’ The film features the story of a spoiled socialite who joins the military after failing to make into big in motion pictures. “I was running with a gun over my head and fell and either fractured or broke my nose,” the actress explains of the incident.

Jess explains: “It’s all bruised and swollen.” “The magic of makeup is doing wonders. “Hopefully when the swelling goes down, my nose will go back to normal.” “This is the hardest movie I’ve ever done. Lots of sweat and tears….” “We’re basically going through basic training, in full fatigues, running around outside.” “I have gone in swamps with alligators. I am having to use Epsom salts for my bruises every single day!” Jess has often credited her button nose as her favorite facial feature: “There’s a lot of girls with a similar body to mine, but my nose is special.” Jessica has broken her nose right on the heels of reports that she’s been behaving like a ‘Melrose’s Place Super Bitch’ on the set.

Jessica says that the actual work on-set also keeps her in amazing shape:

“I am absolutely stronger than I’ve ever been. I’ve never been in this shape in my life,” she said.

“I am definitely seeing muscles that I have never seen before. I was like - Wow! I didn’t know that was possible!

‘Major Movie Star’ is currently being compared with Goldie Hawn’s classic movie ‘Private Benjamin.’

“To say that this movie isn’t like Private Benjamin would be a lie,” she admits. “But it’s not a remake.”

Jessica says being compared to Goldie Hawn “is the highest compliment I could be given - she is one of my favourite actresses.”
