Jessica Simpson has come to terms with the passing of her beloved Maltese Poodle, Daisy — but the dimwitted starlet will not put up with “cruel” prank callers who get a kick out of poking fun at the pooch’s disappearance into the belly of a wild animal.

Last month, Daisy, age 5, was snatched from backyard of Jessica’s Calabasas estate by a hungry coyote. She hasn’t been seen since. Of course, that hasn’t stopped people from taunting Jess with faux news of Daisy’s miraculous resurrection — a gesture Jess does not appreciate it.

“People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue. People are so cruel…please respect her memory,” Jessica pleaded in a Tweet Sunday night.
