“Jersey Shore” Season 2 Headed For Miami Beach….Despite Protests
Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are about to get some very tanned neighbors: The second season of Jersey Shore is South Beach-bound.
On Wednesday, The Miami Herald reported what we’ve been hearing for weeks; the controversial cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore will take over The Sunshine State’s trendy South Beach community for its second season, premiering this summer.
Despite some protests from locals, Seaside Heights’ best GTLers are coming anyway! (Sticks Out Tongue!)
You mean people don’t want drunken, first-pumping twentysomethings mating all over the neighborhood? Imagine that!
The new season of Jersey Shore will begin production in the next two weeks.

Thanks for commenting, Sarah. They can’t do it in Jersey this time around because the beach season at The Shore doesn’t begin until May/June. The network wants to get to work on filming by the end of this month so that Season 2 will be completed and ready to air by June. It’s too chilly in New Jersey this time of year for the show to film there in March/April — not to mention nothing really goes on at beaches on the East Coast until after Memorial Day. Many of the businesses are closed and there’ll no “Guidos” around for Snooki and J-WOWW to throw themselves at shamelessly :) They had to select a city where the climate is summer-like even in late winter or early spring.
I’m not a huge fan of this show, but I think South Beach will be a good choice.
