Jennifer Lopez Signs To Def Jam

Jennifer Lopez has inked a new recording contract with Island Def Jam, with an official announcement expected to be made in the coming days, according to new reports.
The singer and actress, who parted ways with her longtime label Epic last month, reportedly confirmed the deal during junket interviews for her upcoming romantic-comedy The Back-Up Plan.
Lopez shot down all rumors of a feud with Epic bosses, as well as whispers that she was dropped due to low album sales, instead insisting the split was amicable.
Now Jen and her “Louboutins” have struck a deal with the Def Jam, which is part of the Universal Music group, and is headed by music mogul L.A. Reid. Lopez’s seventh studio album, Love, will be released through the label – which is also home to charttopping acts such as Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Amy Winehouse.
