One could say Jennifer Lawrence was slightly underpaid for her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. A mere, $500,000 and a few bonuses probably didn’t cut to much into the studio’s $638 million payday. Now, as the film is coming to BlueRay and DVD soon, filming for the next installment in the trilogy, Catching Fire, is gearing up.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer is close to closing a deal that will pay her somewhere in the ballpark of $10 million which could increase based on box office numbers. Costars, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson are also said to be renegotiating there deals but will not cash in on the payday that Lawrence will get.
The Hunger Games crew will begin filming in September.
