Jennifer Hudson has sought the assistance of a therapist to help her cope with the tragic shooting deaths of her mother, brother, and 7-year-old nephew last October.
Jennifer’s estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, has pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with the triple homicide.
“Jennifer is also on medication to help her from getting depressed,” a family friend close to the Oscar-winning actress, 27, has revealed to The National Enquirer. “She’s getting better, but her progress is slow, and she’s still very fragile.”
The Grammy nominated former American Idol star will perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on February 1. Jennifer will also turn in a live performance at next month’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
“Jennifer says she wants to be as successful as she can because she knows her mother is looking down on her. She wants to make her proud.”
