The mother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson was found dead in her home on the South Side of Chicago on Friday.

A male and a female were reportedly found shot to death inside the home around 3 PM this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department confirmed “two people were found unresponsive in the home.”

However, a rep for the family’s church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist in Chicago, confirmed 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, Jennifer’s mother, was among the victims.
