Celebrity Rehab’s got another live one.
We hear the producers of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew are courting former tennis prodigy Jennifer Capriati to join the lackluster lineup of Z-listers set to appear on the troubled fourth season of the VH1 docu-series.
In fact, the network is so determined to get Capriati on board they’re willing to fork over fistfuls of dough as part of a lucrative deal.
Capriati has a history of depression and drug abuse dating back to the early ’90s. The scandal-scarred sports star was hospitalized after overdosing on prescription drugs in a hotel room in Rivera Beach, Florida on June 27.
Jennifer was just 13 when she won the French Open junior title in 1986. The tennis ace would go on to win 14 titles during her career including three Grand Slams – the Australian Open in 2001 and 2002 and Roland Garros in 2001 – and an Olympic gold medal in 1992.
Celebrity Rehab 4 — which was shelved due to casting conflicts in May — will reportedly feature singer Joyce Pointer, reality stars Jason Wahler and Tila Tequila, and ex-Playboy pinup Shauna Sand.
