Jennifer “I Can’t Keep A Man” Aniston is back in touch with bad boy ex-man John Mayer and pals say the screen darling is desperately trying to win the rocker back.

According to the Daily Mail: The pair, who split in August after three months of dating, have been frequently chatting by phone over the past few weeks. Jennifer, 39, hopes the conversations are the beginning a new romance with John-despite the fact that the 30-year-old musician dumped her via text message.

“Jennifer reached out to John first. She had a few glasses of wine then decided to throw caution to the wind and make the first move,” says a friend.

“John was pleasantly surprised to hear from her. He says they’ve been in contact pretty much every day since and he’s really looking forward to seeing her again soon.”

The source adds: “She’s had a really tough time since the break-up and the more time goes on, she realizes how much John still means to her. Basically, she’s still in love with him and has had a really tough time letting go.”
