Jennifer Aniston Purchasing $5 Million Manhattan Penthouse
posted by:Castina

Jennifer Aniston is forking over megabucks to leave Los Angeles in the dust and begin the pursuit for greener pastures in The Big Apple.

The former “Friend” is set to splash out $5.9 million on a luxurious penthouse in Manhattan’s West Village — complete with an 800-square foot terrace. We hear the Just Go With It actress is close to finalizing a deal on the perfect bachelorette pad — two separate one-bedroom units on the 17th and 18th floors of a swanky building on W. 12th St. — after deciding to relocate to the City That Never Sleeps from her current homebase in Los Angeles.

Jennifer put her sprawling Beverly Hills on the market for $42 million in February. The single star spent more than two years renovating that 9,000 square foot property after purchasing it in 2006 for $13.5 million. She decided to sell the property after deciding it was “too much” for just her.

“I have been looking and looking and looking. I grew up here (New York City). I miss it,” she said earlier this year.

The actress plans to combine the apartments into a one large duplex with about 2,700-square-feet of interior space and more than 900-square-feet of outdoor space. The property which is on the 18th floor of a pre-war building with a doorman, also has a new open-plan kitchen, dining room, living room, and hardwood and poured concrete floors. Additionally, the penthouse boast captivating views of the New York Harbor and the nearby Empire State Building.

She couldn’t afford digs like that serving lattes at Central Perk!

“She would definitely need more space than one apartment. Her closet alone wouldn’t fit in a one-bedroom,” says a local real estate agent with an inside scoop on the deal.
