Jennifer Aniston is set to star in a ripoff of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the 2005 action thriller that help her marriage to Brad Pitt.

In Bounty Hunter, Jen plays a journalist on the run from her hitman ex-husband after he’s instructed to kill her.The film will co-star British actor Gerard Butler, who has been romantically linked to the actress for months.

“She’s a witness to a murder, and the bounty hunter – her ex-husband (Butler) – is given her as a hit,” says a movie industry insider.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie played rival assassins — who try to kill each other before teaming up to defeat the bad guys — in the film that brought them together as a couple.
