Notorious “stagedad” Jeff Archuleta has been banned from attending rehearsals and all other backstage activity at American Idol, TMZ reported on Saturday.

Last Tuesday night, seventeen year old American Idol frontrunner David Archuleta decided to add a quick line from Sean Kingston’s Summer 2007 smash “Beautiful Girls” to his rendition of the classic love ballad “Stand By Me;” the idea came from the teen’s pushy pop.
Since Idol was not licensed to play Kingston’s hit, the show had to incur additional fees thanks to Archuleta’s little remix. Producers have now revoked the older Archuleta’s backstage pass.
