Clay Aiken is a dad.

The 29-year-old American Idol Season 2 runner-up and his best friend, record producer Jaymes Foster, welcomed a baby boy, Parker Foster Aiken, in North Carolina early Friday.

Clay’s mom Faye tells local radio station WRAL, Parker was born at 8:08 a.m., weighing in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces.
