Jay-Z To Overtake Elvis Presely Billboard Record
Jay-Z is set to overtake Elvis’ record in album charttoppers. The hip-hop legend could soon overtake the King of Rock n’ Roll as the solo artist with the most charttoppers in Billboard history.
Jay’s new disc, The Blueprint 3, will likely be his eleventh No. 1 album, taking him past the “Jailhouse Rock” hitmaker’s record of ten number ones. The LP, which features hits like “Run This Town” and “Death of Autotune,” has moved 476,000 copies.
In the meantime, The Beatles remain the most successful act on the US chart, earning 19 US No. 1 albums.
