Jay Leno Harvard University Hasty Pudding Man Of The Year 2011

Hasty Pudding Theatricals of Harvard University has named Jay Leno its 2011 Man of the Year.

Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the nation’s oldest undergraduate drama troupe, has tapped The Tonight Show host for the annual honor because he has “entertained millions of people over his long and accomplished career in comedy….” even if he did steal Tonight back from Conan! (We kid. We kid.) Each year, the Man and Woman of the Year awards are presented to a pair of performers who have made a lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment. Leno will accept his Pudding Pot and lead a parade through the streets of Cambridge at the Man of the Year festivities on Friday, Feb. 4. He follows in the footsteps of his Tonight Show mentor Johnny Carson, who won the Hasty Pudding prize in 1997.

Last week, five-time Oscar nominee Julianne Moore was named Hasty Pudding’s Woman of the Year.
