Despite his recent run-in with the gay community (The Tonight Show host recently came under fire after he asked actor Ryan Phillippe to give his “gayest look” to the camera.), Jay Leno will be attending a gay marriage celebration and rally tonight at the Abbey in West Hollywood, E! reports.

“He said that he is from Massachusetts and that the sky did not fall in their state when marriage equality became the law of the land there,” a rep for the event reports. “He wants to impress upon everyone here in California that the sky will not fall here either.”
