Sheesh…It’s not a good week for people with the last name Jonas!
Sib singing trio The Jonas Brothers had barely recovered from news that their Disney Channel series was being axed when they found themselves under attack from oft-hat-clad singer/songwriter Jason Mraz.
Mraz has some harsh words for the band, who he believes ripped-off his hit 2008 single “I’m Yours” for one of 14 tracks included on the soundtrack for their Disney film Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
“I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune,” the 33-year-old Grammy nominee says of “Introducing Me,” a ballad performed by youngest brother Nick. “I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes,” he added, joking about the price he paid to download the teen pop group’s single.
You be the judge: Did The JoBros do a little “creative tweaking” to Mraz’s tune?
