Janet Jackson performed a tribute to her brother Michael at the 26th annual MTV Music Video Awards, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday. A montage of the star’s songs and videos played, including “Thriller,” “Bad,” “Smooth Criminal” and finally, “Scream,” the duet that won Michael and Janet a VMA in 1995.

Michael’s friend Madonna took the stage to open the ceremony, telling the crowd that the late pop star had been a “King” – but also human.

“He was so unique, so original, so rare,” the Pop Queen said. “He was a king – but he was also a human being. We are all human beings and sometimes, we have to lose things before we appreciate them.”

I can’t believe it, it’s as if when Janet touched the stage, you felt Micheal’s mare presence…This was especially true when, the cameras did a some what split screen with Micheal in the back round, that appeared as if he was standing right next to Janet performing right along side of her WOW!!! So symbolic!!! Right at that point, i couldn’t help but to shed a tear or two…Although this was an upbeat and fast paced song, for me it brought out so many emotions at that particular point…From what this family has endured, or what any family has endured when losing a loved one, especially a sibling as i to have, all you can do is sympathize with what that person must be feeling…Thank you Ms. Jackson, outstanding job!!! And, i’m pretty sure that LaToya was the first person in the family to publicly proclaim that her brother was a hideous paedo, and get some publicity.

People deal with things in their own ways-
I’m sure that if Janet DIDNT do a tribute, (lip synching or not) people like YOU would have been the first to complain and question her loyalty.
