Janet Jackson GLAAD Honoree 2008 GLAAD Media Awards

Janet Jackson will honored by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation (GLADD) for her tolerence toward the gay community during the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
Each year GLAAD honors networks, television shows and celebrities during four ceremonies to be held in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and southern Florida. (Dates and venues are: March 17 at the Marriott Marquis in New York, April 12 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida, April 26 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles and May 10 at the San Francisco Marriott in San Francisco.) Janet will be honored at the Los Angeles event.
“This year’s extraordinary nominees exemplify the important strides we have made as a community toward creating a truly inclusive society,” GLAAD President Neil Giuliano said in a statement.
