Jamie Spears Blocks Britney Spears “Grease” Broadway Role
Britney Spears’ Broadway dreams are toast. The pop tart’s pop forced her to down the role of Sandy in the New York City production of Grease, a tabloid mole spills to Life & Style Magazine.
Jamie Spears, who is currently serving as the appointed guardian over his daughter’s estate, felt a gig on Broadway would be too much for a still emotionally-shaken Brit.
“He still fears she’s going through a lot and isn’t ready to handle anything on her own.”
“Britney was in serious talks to be the new Sandy in the show Grease,” one Great White Way insider says. “She wanted to do it, but her dad, Jamie, said no….Jamie promised the producers that when she’s ready, they would be back to work out a deal.”
