A man has been arrested after he repeatedly tried to force his way into actor Jamie Foxx’s Philadelphia hotel room late last month.
The Oscar winner answered the door to the intruder, who pretended he was Beyonce Knowles’ producer, at his room at Pennsylvania city’s AKA Hotel on March 22. Jamie was forced to overpower the 49-year-old man when he tried to push his way into the room. The man fled. On March 27, the man claimed to be Beyonce’s producer in a second attempt to reach Foxx, the source claimed to WCAU. During the March 27 incident, Taliver was reportedly escorted from the hotel and told not to return.
Sources with NBC affiliate station WCAU claim that the suspect has been identified as Steven Taliver, who also goes by the alias William Brown.
Steven Taliver was again observed on hotel property on Tuesday, March 31. He was then nabbed by cops when members of Jamie’s security team spotted him near the hotel and alerted the authorities. Once the man was escorted outside, he reportedly made threats to security.
Taliver has been charged with burglary, criminal threats, stalking, false imprisonment, and harassment.
Jamie is in the City of Brotherly Love promoting his new movie, The Soloist; which co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and opens in theaters April 24.
