James Franco “General Hospital” Guest Arc Begins Nov. 20
Port Charles just got hunkier: James Franco will guest star on ABC’s General Hospital in a lengthy guest arc kicking off later this fall, the network announced on Thursday.

James, who juggles his studies at Columbia University with a thriving career in film, will play a mystery person who arrives in town. James will make his daytime debut just in time for November sweeps on Nov. 20 — the recurring role is expected to last approximately two months.
“We hear that Franco will work a few days a week on the GH set, taping several shows a day. A source says that Franco ‘wants to do everything’ and would take on his GH role as research for an upcoming film project,” according to ABC Soaps in Depth.
James Franco is best known for his performances in films like Pineapple Express, Milk, and Spider-Man.
“It’s an honor that an actor of Franco’s caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charle,” says GH executive producer Jill Farren Phelps.
