Fan favorite Jake Pavelka was revealed as the next “Bachelor” on Tuesday night’s Dancing With The Stars Results Show.
Jake was an early frontrunner on the last season of The Bachelorette after a one-on-one date with Jillian Harris, during which the couple was serenaded in a private concert by country star Martina McBride.
“I’ve dated some really amazing girls, but I’ve never been successful at finding that one girl,” the Dallas pilot says, “and I saw how the whole thing comes together, the process with Jillian. I saw how the process works and I believe in it. That’s a unique way to meet somebody.”
Jake, who has been dubbed “America’s Most Hopeful Romantic” by ABC, doesn’t know what to expect from the 25 bachelorettes who will battle for his affections.
“I don’t know a thing about any of them. I absolutely cannot wait…I get lost for words when I start talking about the girls. I understand that they’re just unbelievable.”
Jake’s search for love wouldn’t just be about beauty.
“I’m not looking for the most beautiful girl,” he explained. “She will be to me no matter what anybody else says, but, I’m looking for a hard character, compassionate, passionate, romantic and, and protective.”
The 14th season of The Bachelor premieres in January 2010 on ABC.
