Jake Gyllenhaal wiels his swords as Prince Dastan in this newly-released promo pic for Jerry Bruckheimer’s upcoming epic, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

Reese’s armpiece will be doing all of his own stunts in the film, and after spending much of his career tackling dramatic roles, Jake finds jumping off buildings and climbing walls slightly liberating.

“I’m tired of taking myself so seriously,” the actor says of his role in this Entertainment Weekly First Look. “It’s nice when a stuntman turns to you and is like, ‘Actors don’t normally do this,’” he says.

Prince of Persia opens in theaters May 28.
