Will Smith has confirmed his son is set to be the new Karate Kid. Nine year-old Jaden, who appeared alongside his Academy Award-nominated dad in 2007’s The Pursuit of Happyness, is lined up to be the martial arts prodigy in a remake of the cult 80s film. The film is likely to be shot in China.

Will told Extra: “We’re looking. I met with a few people in China. We’re looking to potentially shoot in China.”

Maybe Jackie Chan can play Mr. Miyagi?!
