Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Fish Mooney Character Is Leaving ‘Gotham’

Jada Pinkett-Smith is leaving her character Fish Mooney behind in the television show Gotham, according to a new report. Mooney was a part of the Falcone crime family, but she escaped the Don’s wrath by leaving on a boat to a secluded prison. There, the prisoners have been subjected to the musings of the possible father of the Doll Maker.

As if it weren’t bad enough that Fish Mooney was able to walk around the prison area like she owned the place, the villainess scooped out her own eyeball in order to display her chutzpah. Now, we have learned that Jada Pinkett-Smith is leaving the show for good. What will come of her character Fish Mooney? Will she just die or will she be killed?

In an interview with Extra, she revealed, “We’re done, I did my year and I had a good time. The show is gonna have an awesome finale.”

Fish Mooney was original to the show and some have said that Penguin AKA Oswald Cobblepot will be the one to kill her off for good. Some fans of the show suggested that “penguins eat fish”, so it would be the ultimate way to know that Mooney is gone out of the Penguin’s life for good.

Pinkett-Smith said, “I’ve always been a comic book fan so it was definitely a dream to be able to participate in an origin story of Batman with an original character. Who would’ve thought in a million years that I would have the opportunity to do that?”

When Fish Mooney does meet her maker in the season finale, will you be sad to see her go? Some have said that she was somewhat annoying on the show, so perhaps this is good news? What are your thoughts on Jada Pinkett-Smith’s exit from Gotham? Hit the comments below and let us know your thoughts.
