J. Lo and Ex-Husband Ojani Noa Head To Court

Jennifer Lopez was ordered to a day of arbitration with her first ex-husband Ojani Noa in a Los Angeles courtroom on Monday.
J. Lo filed a suit against her first ex last April, accusing him of trying to extort $5 million from her in exchange for his not publishing a tell-all about his assurance that Jenn cheated on him during their short-lived eleven month marriage.
The entertainer won a preliminary injunction against him in June, which bars him from saying anything disparaging about her in public or profiting in any way from “any private or intimate details” about their relationship.
“Basically, they were trying to damage my name and my career, now they want to go private in arbitration,” Ojani said through an attorney mouthpiece during the proceedings on Monday.
Jenn’s lawsuit against her ex is on hold pending the result of arbitration-which consist of the parties involved sitting down and having a meeting of the minds.
O.N-who fired his lawyer following Monday’s court appearance still hopes to land a publisher for his tell-all, the professional chief tells the New York Post:
“I’m not that kind of guy,” he said when questioned about the details in his ghost-written “J. Lo and Me-style” memoir, which includes, according to court documents, a description of what he claims to be his and J.Lo’s first sexual encounter and allegations of J. Lo ho tendencies.
“This is about my life, coming here from Cuba and falling in love with Jennifer,” he said, denying that he provided the Post, which ran its first item about the book in January 2006, with any part of his manuscript.
