LeAnn Rimes has issued a lively response to allegations that her husband is gay after a woman, who claimed to be a family member, “outed” the backup dancer on live radio last week.

LeAnn and husband Dean Sheremet, who married in February 2002, renewed their wedding vows last August, but have been in become the focal point of tabloid media in recent days after reports that LeAnn has been sleeping with her Northern Lights co-star, Eddie Cibrian, hit the news last Wednesday.

A woman claiming to be Dean’s cousin called in to Michigan’s Mojo In The Morning radio show on Friday to comment on reports suggesting Rimes has been cheating on her husband. Identifying herself as “Pebbles,” the alleged relative insisted that Dean is as gay as Pottery Barn on Saturday morning–and always has been.

“The family literally used to take bets on what age he would come out, and then all of the sudden he got married!”

The couple has been plagued by rumors about Dean’s sexuality since the start of their seven year marriage, but Rimes’ spokesperson has laughed off the claims, telling Usmagazine.com: “Although Dean and LeAnn never knew they had a cousin named Pebbles, they are glad to hear that she has come out of the woodwork. Dean and LeAnn are also interested in connecting with their other long lost family members: Fred, Wilma, Barney and Bamm-Bamm. So Pebbles, please let us know if you have spoken to them, too.”
